UK Christian Book Awards
The first UK Christian Book Awards award was held in 2000 and held annually until 2004 when it became biannual. The purpose is to promote what is best in Christian writing and to encourage the writing of Christian books. It is run by Speaking Volumes on behalf of the Christian Book Promotion Trust, a charity set up 40 years ago by Cecil Jackson Cole to promote Christian literature to an audience beyond the Church. The winning author receiveS a £1,000 cash prize plus £500 worth of books to donate to a library of their choice.
